An offshore three-level structure anchored approximately 250 metres from shore in the Pemba Channel. The bedroom sits four metres below sea level, surrounded by near-360° glass with direct views of the reef. A lounge, bathroom and outdoor deck occupy the upper two levels.

The Underwater Room is designed as an extension within a Manta stay rather than a standalone destination — guests retain access to a land-based room for the duration of their visit. The structure is Swedish-engineered and was developed in consultation with DNV (Det Norske Veritas).

A portion of every stay — once operating costs are covered, 100% of remaining proceeds — supports the management of the Pemba Channel Conservation Area through Blue Alliance Marine Protected Areas.

After selecting your preferred sleeping climate, cool clean air will gently circulate over the surface of your bed—carrying with it the promise of a good night’s sleep.

Created from local materials and traditional Pemban decor with contemporary comfort. In addition a small balcony allows our guests a shady spot to relax in the garden.
