The PortsWood is part of Cape Town's colonial history. The restaurant and lobby are built over the original well and holding cells for prisoners en-route to Robben Island some 300 years ago. Today the PortsWood is famous for its uniquely personal approach to service - catering to the international travellers every need and anticipating their every desire. Rich in South Africa's unique culture, the PortsWood is a must for any traveller.
The PortsWood offers a choice of 59 twin rooms, 35 double rooms and 9 suites. We have kept your comfort in mind and whichever room you choose you are assured of a comfortable stay.
A larger open-plan room that offers a very well designed and separated lounge area, luxurious bathroom with separate shower and bath, complimented by the best fittings and fixtures to exceed all expectations.
Relax in the comfort of our sunbeds and unwind in the tranquil atmosphere of the pool area. Enjoy a light lunch as you soak up the sun or sip on a delicious cocktail and absorb the beauty of the Capetonian sunsets.
The PortsWood Hotel has The Quarterdeck Restaurant which specialises in Cape Malay/Malaysian/ Indonesian infused cuisine. For those with a sense of adventure and who are historically driven, this restaurant is a must. The Terrace offers light meals as well as the “Links bar”.
