SUNSET CRUISE (Ref: NNRB03)

Embark on our sala boat for a golden-hour cruise through the islands. Observe life along the banks and discover local fishing techniques and rice production in this part of Laos. On board, enjoy a selection of signature homemade cocktails (alcoholic or zero-proof) or soft drinks, paired with fresh Lao finger foods. Return to the resort at 6:00 pm.

Depart from Sanctuary Nam Ngum Beach Resort and paddle among the Nam Ngum islands, observing village life, local fishing techniques (nets, dried-fish racks) and riverbank scenes. Dock at Houy Pa Mom village for tea/coffee with a local family and a short hand-weaving demonstration. Kayak back to the resort.

Overview: Depart from Sanctuary Nam Ngum Beach Resort for a gentle walk through Tha Heua. Visit the primary school (on school days), explore the local market and village temple, browse fish stalls, and learn about the region’s dried-fish preservation tradition. Return to the resort.

A jet ski ride on the Nam Ngum Lake is the opportunity to have a thrilling experience in an incomparable setting.

The speed and adrenaline will not prevent you from enjoying the beautiful landscapes that will unfold before your eyes. Several latest-generation jet skis are available for rent. You may use them at your convenience for a time ranging from 10 minutes to an hour.

The Nam Ngum lake is the ideal spot to hire a kayak and explore the surroundings at your own rhythm. Paddle through the islands, soak in the peaceful atmosphere and enjoy the landscapes that are really mind-blowing.

The lake body of water is a true playground for stand up paddlers. Light wind, calm waters and stunning scenery makes the Nam Ngum reservoir the ideal boarding location!

Have a good time as a couple or family on the Nam Ngum lake. The paddle boat is a great way for all to set out on a ride and appreciate the peaceful surroundings of Laos’s biggest lake.

Become a real fisherman and try yourself at launching the 4m circular net following local techniques and retrieve the hoped captured fish. A great moment to experience the locals’ expertise and daily life around the reservoir.
