Place: Chitabe Lediba, in the Chitabe Concession, neighbours the Moremi Game Reserve in the south-eastern part of the Okavango Delta. Its wide range of habitats makes for an equal diversity of wildlife sightings. Views over the floodplains give ample opportunities to watch the daily animal traffic. Beyond the camp, Okavango and Kalahari landscapes meet to form rich habitats.
Accommodation: Five meru-style canvas tents are built on raised decks with unique and tasteful interiors. The en-suite facilities have double vanity basins, with indoor and outdoor showers offering spectacular views of the Delta. Both family units have adjoining bedrooms and a shared en-suite bathroom. The dining area, lounge and pool have a glorious vantage over the small lediba (a lagoon within a channel) after which the camp is named and where wild animals and birds frequent.
Purpose: Alongside its sister canmp, Chitabe Lediba's commitment to the Wilderness Purpose includes providing financial and logistical support for a variety of projects ranging from research and monitoring programmes, to annual school education donations and generous profit-share payouts.
