Why stay here?

Ekorian’s Mugie Camp is a private eco-camp, exclusively located in Mugie Wildlife Conservancy, Laikipia. Mugie game drives are remarkable for their intimacy with the wildlife, as there are rarely more than two vehicles out on the conservancy.

A stay at Ekorian offers an abundance of activities, as well as wonderful wildlife and birdlife viewing.

Josh and Donna Perrett designed Ekorian with a central mess area, a shaded deck and swimming pool, and six spacious, but cozy tents, built on wooden decks with thatched roofs. They manage the camp with a small team of staff, their children, and dogs.

Mugie has thriving populations of lion, cheetah, buffalo, elephant, impala, eland, zebra, and the endemic Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Jackson’s Hartebeest, and Biesa Oryx. Mugie’s reservoir plays host to swimming and bathing elephants - an enchanting scene to observe from a kayak or during your picnic lunch.
