EXCLUSIVE USE / GROUP BOOKINGS

Any booking with 3 or more suites is treated as a group by Makanyi and will have different payment and cancellation terms as listed below. The same applies for an Exclusive Use (EU) takeover of the property and will adhere to these conditions. If an Exclusive Use downsizes and no longer wishes to pay the EU rate, then the group terms will be applicable to any cancelled rooms. The EU/Group T&Cs will also apply for bookings that fall within our festive season date range. All groups are on a request basis. Please contact our reservations department for a quote and availability.

POSTPONEMENTS

· If a postponement occurs within the cancellation policy timeframe, the terms of the cancellation policy will still apply.

NO SHOW & EARLY DEPARTURE

· Clients who do not show will be charged for the entire length of stay

· Clients who depart prior to confirmed departure date are not entitled to any refund

ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED IN WRITING

FORCE MAJEURE

Makanyi will not be held liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, government restrictions, pandemics, or civil unrest. In such cases, management will make reasonable efforts to offer alternative travel dates or a credit for future stays.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly advise that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance, covering: trip cancellation, medical emergencies, personal liability, loss of personal belongings. While we aim to be as supportive as possible, all bookings remain subject to our Terms & Conditions.

Child Policy

No children in any suite under 12 years of age unless the lodge is booked on an exclusive basis.

RATES

· Rates are quoted in South African Rand and are per person per night based on two sharing a suite and inclusive of 15% VAT.

· Rates quoted are subject to change, without prior notice, however rates quoted for confirmed bookings will be honoured.

· Single supplement – A 50% supplement will apply per single use on the per person sharing rate. The single supplement rate will be waived for 1 single in a group booking of 3 or more Suites (min 5 pax).

· A third person between the age of 12-18 years sharing in a Makanyi Suite will pay 50% of the per person per night sharing rate and subject to availability at the time of booking (proof of age required when booking). Not available in a Makanyi Pool Suite.

· Conservation Levy is not included and is a nightly rate, payable in advance (see Not Included section below).

INCLUDED

· All meals and beverages including alcoholic, South African house wines and MCCs offered at Makanyi

· Two daily game drives

· Use of the gym

· Laundry service

· Other daily activities taking place in the lodge area: bush walks (seasonal), star gazing (seasonal)

NOT INCLUDED

· Special order wines, champagnes, and liqueurs

· Any area activity that is not offered directly by Makanyi

· Road transfers and flights

· Specialist photographic safaris

· Photoshoots

· Private game drive vehicle

· Spa treatments

· Telephone calls, purchases from the curio shop & any gratuities

· Timbavati Conservation Levy 01 Jan to 31 Dec 2026: R660 per person per night payable in advance on invoice.

· Timbavati Conservation Levy 01 Jan to 31 Dec 2027: R700 per person per night payable in advance on invoice.

· Timbavati Conservation Levy 01 Jan to 31 Dec 2028: TBA per person per night payable in advance on invoice.
