Bruny Island Photography Packing Checklist:
Essential Camera Equipment
Camera (capable of decent low-light photography)
Battery charger
Tripod
Recommended Camera Equipment:
Spare battery
Spare memory card (Primary and backup should be >= 16gb)
Remote camera trigger (cable or wireless)
Telephoto zoom lens (capable of a focal length above 100mm)
Wide angle lens (Capable of a focal length between 11mm and 24mm. For night photography a lens with f2.8 aperture or wider is recommended)
Camera cleaning kit (wipes, air blower)
Cable to connect camera to laptop
Laptop with Adobe Lightroom installed
Camera backpack
Camera rain cover (see example later of a simple plastic cover)
Nice to Have Camera Equipment:
Solid Neutral Density filter, 4 stop and 10 stop
Graduated Neutral Density filter
Polarizer filter
L-bracket
Head lamp with variable light intensity
Clothing and other equipment:
Warm clothing for night excursions
Gloves (for winter / early spring season)
Beanie (for winter / early spring season). A hooded jacket is also sufficient.
Scarf (for winter / early spring season)
Thermal underwear (for winter / early spring season)
Hiking boots or sturdy shoes with ankle support which can handle uneven terrain. Water resistant shoes will help if ground conditions are wet.
A water proof jacket or raincoat

Power adapter if you are coming from overseas
Medicine if you have any medical conditions
If you do not have a camera rain cover, a simple and cheap solution is to make one out of a plastic zip lock bag and an elastic band. This will help protect your camera from rain and ocean spray.
