Day 1:
You will arrive into Addis Ababa International Airport at 02:10, where you will be met by a representative who will escort you to your waiting vehicle and driver which will transfer you to your overnight accommodation at the Sheraton Addis Hotel. Here you will be able to rest and relax until lunch time, where you will head out for a tour of Addis Ababa, visiting museums and the important cultural sites of this superb city.
You will return to the Sheraton Addis Hotel for your overnight arrangements on a room & breakfast basis.
Day 2:
This morning, after breakfast, you will be driven down the Rift Valley to Hawassa; the drive will take approximately 5-6 hours. Here you will arrive at your accommodation on the shores of the Lake Awasa in the Lewi Resort on a room & breakfast basis.
Day 3:
Today you will be driving to Arba Minch; the journey will take you approximately 4-5 hours. On arrival you will check in to Paradise Lodge for your overnight arrangements on a room & breakfast basis.
Day 4:
After breakfast, you will be driven to Chencha, where you will visit the villages of the Dorze people who live in bamboo, bee hive shaped houses and are very famous for their weaving. After your visit to the Dorze, you head to Konso. The Konso Cultural landscape is a world heritage site; here you will tour the Konso villages.
In the early afternoon, you will be heading to your accommodation at Kanta Lodge on a room & breakfast basis.
Day 5:
This morning you drive to Jinka, stopping on the way at Key Afar during the market day for the Beni and Ara people. Here you can observe this traditional market and the interesting wares on sale. The journey to Jinka will be approximately 5 hours’ drive in total. At Jinka, you’ll be taken to your overnight accommodation at the Eco Omo Resort on a room & breakfast basis.
Day 6:
Today you will be driven to Mago Park, where you will visit the Mursi villages. The Mursi women are known for wearing large lip plates. The driving time today will be approximately 4 hours. You will return to the Eco Omo Resort in the afternoon for your overnight arrangements.
Day 7:
Today you will head to the Jinka Museum, with its focus being on Ethnography, you will also be able to visit the Saturday market in Jinka before heading to Turmi, stopping at the Demeke market en route. The market is frequented by the Hamer, the Beni and the Ari. The driving time today will be approximately 4 hours, eventually arriving at the Buska Lodge for your overnight arrangements.
Day 8:
This morning you depart from the Buska Lodge and head to Omo Rate which is approximately 90 minutes away. Here you will cross the river and visit the traditional villages of the Nyangatom. After your visit of the villages, you head back over the river and back to Buska Lodge for your overnight arrangements.
Day 9:
After breakfast at Buska Lodge, you will be driven to the villages of the Karo people for a tour. Your overnight arrangements will be at Buska Lodge on a room & breakfast basis.
Day 10:
Once you’ve had breakfast at Buska Lodge, your vehicle and driver will be transferring you back to Arba Minch, the journey is approximately 6 hours. On arrival you will check in to your overnight accommodation at the Paradise Lodge.
Day 11:
This morning you will be driven to the shores of Lake Langano and your accommodation at the eco-lodge, Bishangari on a room & breakfast basis.
Day 12:
Your day will be at your leisure to relax at the Bishangari eco-lodge on a room & breakfast basis.
Day 13:
Today you are driven back to Addis Ababa to your day rooms at the Ambassador Hotel which is located near to the Addis Ababa International Airport. You will have a farewell dinner with cultural music and dancing before being transferred to the airport at approximately 23:30 for your international flight home.
