Introduction

Day 1:

Upon your arrival into Kilimanjaro International Airport, after finishing passport control and customs procedures you will be met by a dmAFRICA representative who will escort you to your waiting vehicle and driver for your transfer to Hatari Lodge for check in, dinner and your overnight arrangements in two double and two twin rooms.

Day 2:

After breakfast, you’ll head out for a day of game drive within the Arusha National Park. In the evening, you’ll return to Hatari Lodge for your overnight stay on a full board basis.

Day 3:

This morning, you’ll be driven to Lake Manyara National Park, where you will have a picnic lunch by the lake. During your game drive it is possible to see 4 of the big 5; lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo. Rhino have not been seen in Lake Manyara National Park for some time. Lake Manyara National Park is very famous for elephants, buffalo and monkeys, as well as aquatic animals and birds. In the afternoon, you’ll exit the park and your driver will take your group to Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp for check in, dinner and your overnight arrangements in tented double/twin rooms.

Day 4:

Early in the morning you’ll be driven with a local guide to the surrounding hills in search of the elusive and traditional Hadzabe Bushmen, arriving at their last know camp site, you’ll head after them on foot.

Upon meeting with the Hadzabe, you will be introduced to the village members, visit their tiny huts, see how they dig and prepare roots and follow the men of the village as they go on a hunt into the wildlife rich woodland, between towering Baobabs & acacia trees. The men are armed with their traditional hunting weapons – long bows with poison tipped arrows (which you can see being produced in the village) and homemade axes.

If the hunt is successful, you’ll be offered the chance to share in their caught meal; maybe a small antelope, francolin or guinea fowl depending on the luck of the day.

You’ll return to camp in the early afternoon for a visit to the lake shore for a walk. Your overnight accommodation will be at Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp.

Day 5:

Once you’ve had breakfast, you’ll depart for the transfer to Gibb’s Farm, taking a picnic lunch with you. After checking in at Gibb’s Farm, you’ll enjoy a walk and activities on the farm, these can include collecting eggs or milking the cows. You can also become involved in activities with the Maasai tribespeople!

Your overnight arrangements will be at Gibb’s Farm in two family cottages with interconnecting rooms.

Day 6:

This morning, you are your group will be heading to the world famous Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world! After driving through the Ngorongoro Highlands and reaching the crater rim, you’ll descend to the crater floor for a half day crater safari. In the afternoon, you’ll exit the crater and be driven back to Gibb’s Farm for relaxation or afternoon activities. Your meals and overnight arrangements in your two family cottages.

Day 7:

Today, after breakfast, your driver will take you to the famous Serengeti National Park, taking picnic lunches with you. In the Serengeti National Park, you’ll enjoy a game drive. In the afternoon, you’ll head to the dmAFRICA Mobile Classic Camp for check in, dinner and your overnight arrangements in two double and two twin tents on a full board basis.

The dmAFRICA Classic Mobile Camp will be set up in the area close to the great migration, giving you a front row seat to the greatest wildlife show on earth. With the herds, come the predators that prey upon them giving you a superb chance to see lion, hyena, cheetah and leopard.

Day 8 & 9:

You will be enjoying a full day of game activities within the Serengeti National park. All of your meals and overnight arrangements will be at dmAFRICA Mobile Classic Camp.

Day 10:

This morning, you’ll be driven to Lobo Airstrip with game viewing en route and fly to Zanzibar International Airport on the scheduled domestic flight departing at 10:00 and arriving into Zanzibar at 14:00 (NOTE: Luggage allowance is strictly 15 kilograms per person in soft sided bags).

Upon your arrival you will be met by your private transfer to La Gemma Dell’Est for check in, meals and your overnight stay in deluxe sea view rooms with interconnecting rooms on an all-inclusive basis.

Day 11-14:

Your day will be at your leisure at La Gemma Dell’Est to relax and enjoy the fantastic facilities available for families here. Your overnight arrangements will be at La Gemma Dell’Est in deluxe sea view rooms on an all-inclusive basis.

Day 15:

After breakfast at La Gemma Dell’Est you’ll meet your transfer to Zanzibar International Airport, from where you will fly to Dar es Salaam on the scheduled domestic flight. On arrival at Dar es Salaam International Airport, you’ll connect with your international flight back home.
