Itinerary Breakdown

Days 1–4: Cha Cha Metsi Delta Experience

The safari begins with arrival in Maun, where guests are met and transferred by private helicopter to Cha Cha Metsi. The scenic flight provides a spectacular introduction to the Okavango Delta, revealing winding channels, islands, floodplains and wildlife corridors from above.

Cha Cha Metsi offers an intimate and authentic Delta setting overlooking permanent water, with access to a varied combination of open floodplains, woodland, islands and waterways. From the air, guests witness the changing character of the Delta as open floodplains, islands, channels and permanent waterways unfold beneath them. The journey becomes progressively more remote and water-focused as guests fly deeper into the northern Okavango.

Setari Camp offers a tranquil and immersive water safari experience. Set on a palm island surrounded by permanent waterways, lagoons and floodplains, the camp provides a slower interpretation of the Delta, where each day is shaped by water, birdlife, changing light and the sounds of the wilderness.

From Days 4 to 7, the itinerary focuses on motorboat safaris, mokoro excursions, guided island walks, fishing, birding, sundowner outings and relaxed time in camp. Guests may also enjoy extended water explorations where conditions permit, combining boating, mokoro activity, island walks and a picnic-style lunch in a remote Delta setting.
