Bwindi Impenetrable Forest situated in Kanungu district in South Western Uganda, is a sanctuary for Colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, and many birds such as Hornbills and Turacos.
Most importantly though,Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park is notable for the 400 Bwindi gorillas, half of the world's population of the critically endangered mountain gorillas.
14 habituated mountain gorilla groups are open to tourism in four different sectors of Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga and Nkuringo
