The ultimate elephant experience through the vast Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe, combined with an authentic cultural and community involvement. Your safari through Hwange, has a direct positive impact on people living just outside the national park, including provision of school lunches to 60 remote rural schools, health care at a local clinic, school supplies to rural schools, and water supply to people and wildlife (see the attached document for all programs).
Hwange has one of the highest concentrations of elephant in Africa. During the dry season, between June and October, Hwange's waterholes are a huge draw for a range of species, including lion, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and of course elephants. It is not unusual in the peak dry season to see up to a thousand elephant coming down to drink from a waterhole. The safari takes you to three different locations in the park, with a strong emphasis on walking safaris with highly experienced guides.
A night in Victoria Falls is also included, and add on days into Botswana, Zambia or South Africa can be included.
