Be a ranger for a week while experiencing the magic of the northern Kruger National Park. This is an authentic life changing adventure. Engage in the basics of typical ranger training including practical bush cooking and bush survival strategy.
Most of the training takes place in the Makuleke Contract Park. The Makuleke, the original inhabitants of this area, own this unspoiled piece of nature in the far north of the Kruger Park. Through this unique form of cooperation, the Makuleke population is provided with jobs and visitors can enjoy this beautiful piece of South Africa. You will find thousand year old baobab trees, Fever Tree Forest and many (rare) animals.
During this training you will learn the basic skills of a ranger, including the survival and preparation of meals in the bush. The Ranger Experience is not a formal training program; instruction is practical rather than in a formal classroom environment. Lectures are, however, incorporated into the program; mostly restricted to safety briefs and formal instruction. Formal lectures are restricted to no more than 60 minutes a day.
