Your host and guide, Doug Evans, is a lifelong horseman and conservationist with over Y40 years of experience exploring and protecting Zambia’s wild places. Raised in the saddle, prioritizing a calm, respectful approach that fosters deep trust with his herd.
Doug’s vision of leading multi-day horseback safaris in remote wilderness has come to life in the Simalaha Wildlife Conservancy, where he shares the story of the land, its people, and its role in sustainable conservation.
This is a family-run operation, with Doug’s son, Murray Evans, ensuring the health and comfort of the horses as a Master Farrier.
