Namibia 21 night Birding and Wildlife Self Drive Adventure 2024

This self drive adventure covers several key areas in Namibia from the Caprivi Strip to Sossusvlei.

You will start with the lush green waterways of the Zambezi/Bwabwata National Parks of the former Caprivi Strip, home to over 450 species of birds,  before entering Etosha and spending 6 nights in this wildlife haven. 

From here you head west across the park to Hobatere Lodge which sits just outside the gates on its own reserve which is home to a huge variety of wildlife and the birdlife is prolific before you head to the Brandberg Mountain where you will have the opportunity to go out the guide in search of Namibia's desert adapted elephants along the Ugab River.

En route to the Skeleton Coast you will pass through Himba, Herero and Damara homelands before you reach the ocean.

Over 250 bird species have been recorded in the Walvis Bay area and local desert experts can also show you the endemic creatures that live in the coastal dunescape.

Your final highlight are the huge red sand dunes at Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei before you head back to the capital.
