Introduction

The Lattitude fly camp is set up within a scenic and private location, under the shade of an acacia grove. Simplicity is the attraction - yet no comfort is compromised or detail missed. Mosquito-proof beds, a central mess tent to escape the heat of the day. Evening drinks are always enjoyed around the campfire, and dinner is served under the stars. All meals are prepared and cooked within our safari kitchen, with fresh and quality products that promise delicious meals. From the base of this specially selected, secluded, and picturesque location in Sera Conservancy, we will explore the region and its unique life.

Established by Kenyan brothers Jay and Amory McLeod, Lattitude’s unique quad expeditions follow century-old elephant routes along tracks passing sand luggers fringed with desert palms.  Safaris can last a single day or the longer 4/5 day adventures using a lightweight mobile camp where staff is on hand with drinks and hot showers or perhaps a dip in their portable pool! For a little extra adrenalin Latitude also offer helicopter flights and horseback safaris.

SERA CONSERVANCY is located to the west of the Mathews mountain range in Samburu. A wild 35,000-hectare conservation area was set aside for wildlife by community group ranch members in 2001 and is part of a much wider conservation area of 354,000 hectares.

    KIPSING CAMP

The Kipsing Camp is located on the edge of the Kipsing lugger, 5km upstream from the Ewaso Nyiro River. The lugga runs only during heavy rainstorms and feeds into the mighty Ewaso Nyiro River, the life-blood of the north providing much-needed water for the wildlife and cattle of the Samburu area.
