Michael is a passionate naturalist, conservationist and explorer who loves birding, rare mammals, walking trails, and photography. He is a registered professional in natural science, nature tour guiding and ecotourism consulting with 25 years’ of industry experience.
Michael has been avidly photographing Southern and East African wildlife for over 2 decades.
He has travelled extensively through Southern and East Africa, Mauritius and North America, and further to his great passion for birds; also enjoys animal behaviour, flyfishing, butterflies, herping, trees and wilderness.

Camp Khwai
Camp Khwai is ideally situated on a picturesque bend of the Khwai River with an expansive view of the Khwai River floodplain and into Moremi Game Reserve offering breathtaking sunrises and views over the river as well as of wildlife along the river.
The unique tents are spacious, comfortable, elegantly decorated and equipped with comfortable beds, fans, charging points, private bathrooms and decks. Guests can enjoy all meals at the on-site restaurant serving delectable local and international dishes or relax with a refreshing drink from the bar while enjoying the breathtaking views. Additional amenities and services include a swimming pool, Wi-Fi in the central area, day/night game drives in the Khwai community concession and walking safaris. Guests can enjoy a guided tour of the nearby village and explore Moremi Game Reserve, home to the Big Five and other incredible wildlife.
