Snow Leopard Adventure - Ladakh

Our Snow Leopard Adventure gives you the chance to see one of the world's most iconic big cats in its natural habitat.

With the Indian State of Ladakh becoming increasingly accessible, we have teamed up with Snow Leopard Lodge and the Snow Leopard Conservancy to bring you this unique opportunity.

The Himalayan area of Ladakh is one of the most beautiful parts of India with rugged, high mountains, glacial rivers and a wealth of Buddhist temples and monasteries.

Other key wildlife species found in the region include the Tibetan Wolf, Red Fox, Urial, Blue Sheep, Ibex, Marmots and Mountain Weasels as well as over 140 bird species.

Following a short flight from Delhi you spend 3 nights in Ladakh's capital, Leh, while you acclimatise to the high altitude. Full of ancient buildings , Leh is renowned for its architectural and cultural diversity and with a private vehicle and driver/guide at your disposal, you will be able to explore this whole area at your own pace.

Snow Leopard Lodge is a further 500 metres higher and your stay will be on a full board basis in an en-suite room. The Lodge has expert naturalists and  spotters who have come to understand the area and its wildlife over many years of guiding and they will accompany you daily in search of these legendary cats. The expeditions to find the snow leopards will be undertaken by vehicle but may necessitate some additional walking in order to get the best views.

This unique tour is available privately or as a small group and runs from November through to the end of May and for each person on the tour US$200 will be donated to Snow Leopard Conservation
