Nestled in mountains and valleys that date back to the beginning of time and steeped in Zulu history, the reserve is home to an abundance of endemic fauna and flora, including diverse cat species, endangered aloes, over 313 birds and 14 antelope species including the endangered oribi. The African Elephant has recently been reintroduced to the area, making Babanango Game Reserve Big 5.
