CAT Safaris conduct all Fly in Safaris as a holistic experience from beginning to end. The Pilot is an experienced, knowledgeable and qualified Safari Guide that will guide and provide information throughout the trip, both in the air and on the ground during excursion and activities.
Full intercom headsets/PA system is provided in the aircraft so that the Guide can communicate with the guests during flights from lodge to lodge, showing landmarks and sharing his knowledge about the country.
Where applicable the routing follows scenic landscape and other highlights so as to provide a complete experience, both from the skies and on the ground. The pilot/guide always accompanies the guests on excursions or game drives.
The aircraft stays with the group for the duration of the Safari, providing additional evacuation possibilities or change in Safari plans as may be requested by the guests. Guests can enjoy more flexibility with regards to departure and arrival times as flights are non scheduled and no fixed departure times.
Experience the Locations and Sights that Namibia and Zimbabwe are famous for, from the Namib Desert to the Victoria Falls. From a little Barking Gecko in the Desert to a herd of Elephant on the banks of the Chobe River. Explore these 2 countries with us on an incredible 12 nights 13 days Fly In Safari.
Explore the Desert while residing at one of the most luxurious lodges available on the Namib Rand Nature reserve, before you visit Sossusvlei and fly over the amazing desert landscape to the little Germanic town of Swakopmund. Continue into Damaraland where we will visit the Twyfelfontein Bushmen excursions and search for the elusive desert elephant.
Explore the Etosha National Park with a knowledgeable guide, before you fly in to the Caprivi Strip where you can expect herds of buffalo, and great antelope sightings.
A 2 night stay on a Safari boat will allow you the freedom and access to view the wonderful wildlife provided by the Chobe National Park; to mark off the over 450 bird species found in this wetland paradise; to try your hand at landing a tiger fish on a fly rod; or to capture the beauty on one of our photographic safaris.
The World Famous Victoria Waterfalls are visited at the end of the Safari. What more can one ask for than to sit on the verandah of the Colonial Victoria Falls Hotel, sipping your cup of afternoon tea, overlooking the “Smoke that Thunders”?
