The Iberá Wetlands are located in the province of Corrientes and represent one of the last ecological paradises in the world. With a surface of 3.000.000 acres , this region is an immense green labyrinth dotted with countless lagoons and furrowed by several streams and creeks.
The Ibera Natural Reserve is the largest of its kind in Argentina , being home of 350 birds species, 60 mammal species, 50 kinds of reptiles, 35 types of amphibians and 110 fish species, including piranhas (locally known as “palometas”).
