Namibia Birding
Namibia is rightly known for its full suite of fabulous mammals but most travellers on one of our tailor-made trips are equally, sometimes more so, wanting to seek out this incredible country’s birdlife. Over 600 species have been recorded and, given a visit to sufficiently varied habitats, it’s perfectly possible to amass sightings of 250 to 300 species.
Our journey starts in Kasane, Botswana with a few days in Chobe National Park which boasts a bird count of over 400 species before going over the border into neighbouring Namibia. From here the tour follows the Caprivi Strip heading west through Bwabwata and Mahango National Parks before dropping down into Etosha National Park staying at all three main camps and then finishing in style with a night at Okonjima, home of the Africat Foundation before departing for home from Windhoek 's Hosea Kutako Airport.
