This journey brings together some of Nepal’s most important cultural sites alongside the rich wildlife of Chitwan National Park. We begin in Kathmandu, exploring its historic squares, temples and vibrant neighbourhoods, and end with Nagarkot for a Himalayan sunrise and Bhaktapur, where traditional Newari architecture and artisan craftwork offer a glimpse into the valley’s medieval past. During our days in the south, in the Terai, we will experience daily Tharu village life and the calm riverine landscapes that border Chitwan.
The core of the trip is our time inside Chitwan National Park. We explore a mix of riverine forest, tall grasslands and sal woodland by jeep, boat and on guided walks. Chitwan is known for reliable sightings of one-horned rhino, excellent birdlife, crocodiles and a wide range of mammals. Tigers live here in healthy numbers, too, and although sightings are never guaranteed, we will be exploring areas where they may be seen.
With a blend of cultural insight and immersive wildlife viewing, we'll experience a deep dive into Nepal’s natural and human landscapes.
