Introduction

Also known as the Whiskey Route, Machame Route is by far the most popular and our personal favorite among the Kilimanjaro Climbing Routes. Almost half the climbers use this route each year for their Kilimanjaro expedition. It approaches the mountain from the south and leads up the southern slope, and then follows the Mweka descent route.

The Mount Kilimanjaro Machame Route also has one of the most scenic trails. You’ll traverse five different climatic zones and stunning natural features like the volcanic plug called the Lava Tower. The route also has stops at locations that offer some of the best sunrises and sunsets.

Our classic climb adventures is a combination of great comfort and high safety standards which makes your Kilimanjaro hike enjoyable and memorable.

Our climbing package includes everything that a climber may need for the hike - our experienced mountain crews, high-quality group equipment, nutritionist-designed meals. Our safety protocols are of high standards for all our hiking adventures - only the guides with Wilderness First Responder certification are assigned to lead a party. Other safety measures include a supply of oxygen cylinders, complete medical kits and compulsory medical check-ups. Our guides also carry a radio phone (direct link to the office) to ensure 24/7 connectivity incase of any emergencies.

Before and after the adventure you will stay in a great hotel with caring staff, hot water, reliable Wi-Fi, restaurant and swimming pool.
