SAVUTE

On arrival in Maun, Botswana you will be met by a representative to assist you with your connection on to a light charter flight (scheduled service) to Savute Elephant Lodge.

Botswana’s Savute region has long been associated with some of the world’s greatest explorers, most famously David Livingstone. Come and unleash your inner explorer at Savute Elephant Lodge, A Belmond Safari, Botswana, where a spectacular new design immerses you in the untamed natural surroundings of the Savute region. It’s here that the mysterious Savute Channel ebbs and flows seemingly at whim. Whether wet or dry, there’s always a rich drama of animal antics to enjoy from the vantage point of our Lodge.

From Johannesburg or Cape Town, journey to the elephant-rich Savute Elephant Lodge in the Chobe National Park. The dynamic plains are home to a wide range of wildlife from leopard to klipspringers. Discover the ancient history of the Bushmen paintings and dine in the baobab groves.

OKAVANGO

After exploring the Savute, guests will move to experience the best of the Okavango with both land and water activities at Eagle Island Lodge.

Eagle Island Lodge is one of Botswana’s original safari lodges, perched on a private island encircled by some of the deepest stretches of the Okavango Delta, one of the world's largest inland water systems and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Eagle Island Lodge is a sustainably designed and built sanctuary that takes you magically close to the Delta's rich wildlife. Drift through the watery landscape on a mokoro canoe, spotting hippos and kingfishers, or guests can fuel their adrenaline with a thrilling helicopter and horseback safari.

There is an abundance of bird and aquatic wildlife around the lodge, complemented by larger mammals such as elephant, buffalo, hippo, crocodile, as well as the ever-elusive big cats that have made this island their home.

Day 7: End of Safari

After a final morning activity, guests will depart the camp for Maun Airport. On arrival a representative will meet you to ensure you connect to your onward travel arrangements.
