Zanzibar Infrastructure Tax of US$ 5.00 per person to be paid directly by the clients upon check in at the Hotel We would like to inform all foreigners planning to visit the beautiful island of Zanzibar through the seaport or airport that, effective October 1st 2024, it will be mandatory for all foreigners to possess valid Inbound Travel Insurance which will provide coverage for the duration of their stay (up to 92 days).

The requirement is being implemented to ensure the safety and well-being of all foreigners and mitigate any possible risk pertaining to their travel into the island. This policy provides comprehensive coverage for various emergencies including repatriation, evacuation and other related contingencies  

It is essential that all prospective foreigners make necessary arrangements to obtain suitable inbound travel insurance ONLY from Zanzibar Insurance Corporation through the QR code that will be provided before embarking on their journey to Zanzibar. Failure to comply with this mandatory requirement may result in entry denial in immigration checkpoints.
