THE TOUR IN A NUTSHELL:
Cape Town is a stunning start to your journey with amazing highlights. Our first 3 days is spent in the stunning The Palm House boutique hotel with great reviews and a tranquil location. {but also an easy drive to many highlights. }
Our caring intuitive tour guide will host you on some lovely day tours.
We will take in Table Mountain cable way, the Cape of Good Hope, Penguins, and some other great highlights like a tree canopy bridge in Kirstenbosch, almost like visiting the Amazon, but set in the most beautiful forests on the slopes of Table Mountain.
Our next goal is to do a whistlestop tour of the famous Whale Coast region of Hermanus for a fun filled 24 hours overlooking Walker bay. Whale Coast Ocean Villa will be our stunning location for the night.
Our journey then takes us on a direct flight north to iconic areas on the fringes of Kruger National Park.
Here the Big 5 beckons, in 3 diverse safari lodge experiences The wildlife in each of the safari reserves, will be a thrilling end to our time in this amazing region. ( 1 night Amava Bush lodge, 2 nights Siviti Timbavati Plains and 2 nights Shiviko)
The next 5 days will also give us 2 opportunities to experience what Tourism that Cares is passionate about, conservation of endangered wildlife and celebrating the unsung heros in a tribal community, that has pooled their resources to care for vulnerable children in these communities bordering on Kruger.
Our fam trips ends at Johannesburg airport on 9 December 2025.

A small tip for your main driver guide, during your time in Cape Town and Hermanus. We suggest GBP 15 from each of you on the last day, when he drops you off at Cape Town airport.
On Safari you are humbly requested to leave a tip for:
a) Your ranger at the lodge, b) Your tracker at the lodge c) Your general staff at the lodge.
For Amava/ Umvangati, we suggest GBP 10 from each of you as a general staff tip.

GBP 10 from each of you for you ranger, and GBP 10 from each of you, for your tracker.
For Siviti,
we suggest GBP 10 from each of you as a general staff tip.

GBP 10 from each of you for you ranger, and GBP 10 from each of you, for your tracker..

A small tip for your main driver guide, who transported you between Amava/ Siviti and Shiviko
We suggest GBP 15 from each of you on the day , when he drops you off at Shiviko.
Carry a LITTLE bit of cash on you, for small tips, eg the chap who does short transfers from the airport, with someone other than your main host. We would suggest taking about GBP 100 for small eventualities, and you can even draw this equivalent in cash from your local ATM at the airport on arrival, if you prefer not to walk around with cash. But GBP 5 or GBP 10 in hard currency is also fine. The drivers/ staff normally keep their tips and change it to local currency at the end of the month.
