Introduction

Join us for the 2025 running of this extraordinary wildlife journey to Gonarezhou National Park, an intimate adventure designed for a small group of no more than six guests. This trip will be led by true Gonarezhou experts , a highly experienced guide and a true expert on Gonarezhou, offering unmatched insight into this remarkable wilderness.

Known as “The Place of Elephants,” Gonarezhou shares some similarities with iconic destinations like Zambia’s Lower Zambezi and Chad’s Zakouma. But make no mistake—this park is a one-of-a-kind safari destination.

A key focus of our journey will be the Black Rhino, reintroduced here in 2021 after decades of dedicated conservation efforts. While sightings are never guaranteed, previous trips have delivered some incredible moments.

At this time of year, the dry season is in full swing, creating a dramatic backdrop as wildlife congregates around the lifeline of the river. Elephants, antelope, and other animals cross vast, open flats, always under the watchful gaze of predators—a spectacle that’s as thrilling as it is raw.

Gonarezhou’s diversity is staggering. With over 400 bird species, 50 species of fish, and nearly 90 mammal species, the park is a treasure trove of wildlife. Recent aerial surveys revealed a thriving population of more than 10,000 elephants, alongside healthy numbers of predators and their prey.

Your journey includes stays at three distinct camps, each offering a unique experience:

1. Rhino Territory Camp – A peaceful semi-permanent lodge nestled near an active water source, where wildlife is always close by.

2. Fly Camp – Set on the edge of a pan or along the Save River (depending on conditions), this camp provides a close-to-nature, immersive overnight experience.

3. Traditional Tented Camp – A comfortable, classic bush camp that brings the timeless essence of an African safari to life.

Throughout, our expert safari team will ensure your comfort, serving delicious, freshly prepared meals. Evening dinners are a highlight, showcasing the flavors of Africa, with each meal themed around a different country or region.

If this sounds like your kind of adventure, let us know. We’d love for you to join us on this unforgettable safari.
