Treasured Chests - A Safari with a purpose. October is breast cancer awareness month, so we have designed this safari for single ladies or friends travelling together, in a 4 x 4 vehicle driven by a qualified female safari guide. These are some of the community based activities and of course the safari, visiting 3 of Zambia’s national parks, going on the 2 largest rivers in Zambia, the Kafue River and Zambezi River.
On your safari you will get to visit a women community gardening project in the Lower Zambezi and get to spend some time helping them in the garden - this women's project manages to feed so many villages in the region and provides vegetables for the lodges. You will also visit a school and donate re-useable / washable sanitary towels to the teenage girls - many young girls miss so much school or quit school due to not having access to sanitary towels. This is your opportunity to catch the mighty tiger fish, indulge on an Island picnic or climb a large Baobab tree.
In the Kafue National Park area you will visit a community NGO veterinary project (the opportunity to go out with the vets on whatever task they have for the day - vaccinating the local goats/ cattle, etc) and a community women's bee club - where they all harvest honey and visit a traditional fishing village. Game drives, walks and canoeing are all on offer in the Kafue.
In Livingstone, you will visit Seshemo beads, a community of ladies using recycled glass to make jewellery and beads. See the Victoria Falls - one of the 7 wonders of the world, feed rescued elephants and fine dining at the famous Elephant café and a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi.
Lastly do we need to add make new friends and have lots of laughs and magical moments.
We have also timed this over the full moon so a great possibility to see the amazing moon bow over the mighty Victoria Falls.

This tour starts in Lusaka and ends in Livingstone.
