We can´t say Puerto Madryn is nice, it is just a regular small town along the coast, founded by welsh immigrants in the 19th century. But it is the head of the Atlantic Patagonia region that surprises because of its rough beauty. Desert landscape and high cliffs combined with a broken coastline and a deep blue sea, home of many marine species. The cliffs, the bays, gulfs and coves protect the animals from human action and it is a joy to be able to see penguins, whales, sea lions, sea elephants and even killer whales some times. If it was not in your plan, you may add it to the list!
