And what about the safari itself?
Nothing short of amazing ! Although this time of year is traditionally seen as the ‘low’ season, December to April is an extraordinary period to visit Botswana. The summer rains bring a time of plenty; mammals are fat and healthy, and for many species, it is a time to bring their young into the world. The bush transforms into an emerald green landscape, dotted with flowers, and migrant bird species arrive in their thousands. The desert blooms, and many animals and birds migrate there at this time. The waters of the Okavango are seasonally low, but that does not detract from a safari, especially if you choose one of the Delta camps in this special offer.
