Introduction

18 May 2025 - 31 May 2025

On this unique wildlife and astrophotography trip Paul will accompany you in the field, guiding you through how to get the most out of your images, allowing you to return home with striking and distinctive additions to your portfolio.

Designed to be a relaxed and flexible tour, this trip allows for individual guidance from Paul, alongside informal group discussions on techniques and experiences.  ( For those who need only the peace and quiet of the trip, photography discussions are not mandatory! )

Paul will concentrate on your own photography throughout the trip but will also demonstrate some advanced techniques for astrophotography. He will bring a star tracker with him and for those not familiar with them will show you how to use one giving you the opportunity to  integrate it with your own equipment enabling you to come back home with images of Namibia's famous night skies like you've never captured them before.

About Paul Colley

Paul is a wildlife and astro-photographer making images count in the conservation of rivers, lakes, forests and oceans. He works with conservation agencies worldwide, most notably Fauna and Flora International, the Blue Marine Foundation and the UK Bat Conservation Trust. A former chairman of the British Society of Underwater Photographers, Paul pioneered new wildlife photography techniques using remote control cameras. His portfolio includes world-leading night-infrared bat photography. Overall winner of the British Wildlife Photography Awards, Paul has recorded major successes in Underwater, Bird and Nature Photographer of the Year competitions with images featured in national newspapers, international magazines and a Royal Mail stamp. He is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and an increasingly-accomplished astro photographer, producing stunning Milky Way photographs and deep space images using a remote-controlled observatory that he designed and built from scratch.
