Introduction

7 Mar 2021 - 15 Mar 2021

Join Helena and Grant and a small group in March 2021 and journey through the Eastern Serengeti.

Experience some of Tanzania’s rich wildlife and incredible scenery in these areas.  The trip is aimed at spending time with some of the major carnivores that thrive in this part of the Serengeti.  Species that we might hope to see would include lion, cheetah, spotted hyaena, black-backed jackal and golden jackal.

Less frequently seen but occurring in the area are also serval, bat-eared fox, caracal and aardwolf.  Plains game like topi, wildebeest, zebra, gazelle as well as elephants and giraffe occur in the area.  With a fascinating combination of open plains, rocky outcrops, dry river courses and small marshes, this area lends itself to fantastic viewing and photography.  Birdlife is also rich especially for grassland species.
