Ndongoro Log Cabin- Ragati: (Valid until 15th Dec, 2020)

The Ragati River is 15km long and rises just below the alpine zone near the northern end of the Conservancy. It is a pristine mountain river dotted with many waterfalls and large pools, and with many tributaries flowing in from the east.

The river is an ideal habitat for rainbow trout and the African clawless otter. The river was originally stocked in the 1920’s and 30’s with rainbow trout and over the generations they have developed a unique colouring; we call them the Ragati Red’s. We continue to stock regularly with rainbow trout from the local fisheries and plan to develop our own trout farm, which will ensure regular stocking into the future.
