Short itinerary:
DAY 1 : With transportation: Road journey to Huasquila Lodge, stopping to soak in the Papallacta hot springs. Without transportation: Arrival to lodge 1pm yourselves.
After lunch hike to a 12-meters waterfall. Night lesson in chocolate making.
- DAY 2 : A jungle trek crossing a 120-meter-long cave, followed by a visit to a 14-meter-high waterfall. Afternoon visit to Kichwa community. Nocturnal walk looking for frogs & insects.
- DAY 3 : A full day at the Napo River, including a canoe ride, a Ceibo Tree walk, and visits to the Amazoonico Rescue Center & Caiman Lagoon. Return to the lodge.
- DAY 4 : Early breakfast and check-out. With Transportation: Stop at Dos Reservas in the Papallacta area for a birdwatching activity on the return journey. Without Transportation: After enjoying the breakfast you check out and make your own way to your next destination.
