We had a sensational time in South Africa and everything went off smoothly. It's a credit to Jonathon and the whole team at Encompass Africa. This has been our second trip with Encompass and certainly won't be the last.
No real negatives to speak off. Flights, accommodation, transfers all went off without a hitch. We thought the meet and greet at J'Burg airport was terrific and there were a lot of raised eyebrows at the queue for customs when we were escorted to the front of the queue.
Motswari was good but game density was very low. We did manage to see 4 Leopards and 3 Rhino which was the main reason for going there so that was a plus but it is covered in very thick Mopane scrub so is difficult to spot game unless it is on the road.
Cape Town was terrific and everything I thought it would be. It's been a lifelong dream to visit Table Mountain.
Tswalu was great and we certainly want to go back there at some stage. We did have one unpleasant experience on the first afternoon which I brought up with the camp manager at the time and he was going to follow up on but other than that it was terrific holiday and we can't wait to start planning the next one.
