Welcome to Camp Cecil de la Isla, our award-winning luxury tent camp on Isla Espiritu Santo, featured in National Geographic, Time Magazine, Newsweek, the London Times, Outside Magazine, Coastal Living, Conde Nast Traveler, Lonely Planet, Playboy, Sunset Magazine and more. Camp Cecil is open November through mid-June. The minimum stay is two nights, but once you relax into the joys of island life, you may never want to leave! And don't forget to check out our sister camp in the Sierra La Laguna mountains of Baja, Camp Cecil de la Sierra.
To maximize your enjoyment of Camp Cecil de la Isla and to have as smooth a trip as possible, please note the following points when planning your trip:
- Check in at our bodega in La Paz is at 10:00 AM on the morning of your reservation, so please plan to arrive in Baja at least one night prior to the start date of your Camp Cecil stay. Those wishing to charter a boat for a later, private transfer to the island can do so for an additional fee of US$400.
- We generally return to shore about 11:00 AM on the final day of your trip, but wind or other conditions may determine the exact hour and could have an impact on your plans for the remainder of the day. If conditions are good, you should be able to catch a flight out of Los Cabos at 4:00 PM or later, or out of La Paz at 1:00 PM or later. However, we strongly recommend that you book your flight out of Baja for the day following the end of your stay at Camp Cecil (or later) to prevent any vacation snafus.
- Airport transfers are not included in the price but we would be delighted to arrange them for you. A transfer to/from La Paz and Los Cabos International Airport is USD 250 each way and a transfer to/from La Paz and the La Paz airport is USD 75 each way. Price is per van and each van can hold a maximum of 10 people.
