This 12 days safari takes you to the wild side of Uganda and the chance to see all the major attractions this country can provide to the international visitor. Your first stop takes you to the Murchison Falls National Park (MFNP), the largest and most popular park in Uganda. The park is teeming with wildlife and features the famous Murchison Falls, whose 43-meter falls of boiling water are forced through a 7-meter wide gap before crashing into the lightly wooded savannah below.
Next on your safari adventure is the Kibale National Park (KNP), home to about 1,500 chimps and the best opportunity to experience habituated chimpanzee groups close up. In addition to tracking chimps, the Kibale forest also features an extensive network of hiking trails with more than 320 tropical bird species to observe.
The next stop is the Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP), featuring spectacular game viewing opportunities and attractions such as the Kazinga Channel, home to hippos, buffalos, and elephants. The highlight of your safari takes you to the famous ancient forest of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (BINP), a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the world’s largest population of mountain gorillas.
