Day 1:
Located just thirty minutes from Windhoek International Airport, nestled within the stunning African veldt. The Naankuse Lodge is perfectly situated for the start of your trip to Namibia! Offering a large range of activities including: Carnivore feeding tours & getting up close to cheetahs!
Overnight you’ll be staying at Naankuse Lodge; the only charity lodge in Namibia on a full board basis.
Day 2:
Your second day will commence after breakfast at Naankuse, heading to the Airport, where you’ll fly over the famous Skeleton Coast, over the flamingo, ship wrecks, seals and red sand dunes of the Sossusvlei to the Namid Rand Reserve.
Here you’ll be staying at the Dunes Lodge, perched upon the top of a dune plateau, overlooking panoramic vistas in all directions, capturing the beauty if the desert in a very memorable way. The style of the building is a combination of wooden structures and canvas blinds, opening up to the expansive desert beyond. The lodge has the ambience of a tented camp, but provides the comfort and protection of a lodge. Each of the Dunes Lodge luxury chalets feature en-suite bathrooms and a private veranda offering a connection of the vast stretches of untouched red sand!
Dunes Lodge also features a swimming pool, suspended above the sand. There are also a variety of activities, all of which aim to acquaint guests with the splendour, solitude & beauty of the Namid Desert. It is possible to venture out on excursions to Sossusvlei, nature drives, guided walks and a balloon safari for an additional cost, allowing you to soar quietly above the desert!
Overnight, you’ll be staying at Dunes Lodge on a full board basis in a luxurious chalet.
Day 3:
You will have a full day of activities at the Dunes Lodge, or you can simply relax and unwind making use of the recreational facilities at Dunes Lodge. Overnight you’ll be staying at Dunes Lodge on a full board basis.
Day 4:
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airstrip where you’ll connect with your flight through Namibia and over the Kalahari Desert to a very different landscape; the Okavango Delta. Whilst in the Okavango Delta you’ll be staying at the Jao Camp. This camp is superb, set in an area where islands fringed with riverine forests meet open floodplains.
Its nine spacious and beautifully-designed tents are situated beneath a canopy of shady trees and all feature en-suite facilities, as well as outdoor showers. The tents are all built upon raised decks, each with its own private sala for afternoon siestas with views over the spectacular surrounding areas.
In addition to the lounge and dining areas, there are two plunge pools, a boma for dining under the stars and a spa with a wide range of massage therapies.
Overnight, you’ll be staying at the Jao Camp on a full board basis in your luxurious tent.
Day 5:
Today will be at your leisure to enjoy the activities provided by the Jao Camp, or to simply relax in the beautiful surroundings. Overnight you’ll be staying at the Jao Camp on a full board basis.
Day 6:
This morning, you fly from the Okavango Delta to Mana Pools in Zimbabwe. The flight will be fascinating, over incredible wilderness and plentiful game. The flight will take you over the Zambezi River and Lake Kariba; sights you will not be able to forget! The mighty Zambezi River flows from Lake Kariba, through the Lower Zambezi Valley, a huge rift in the earth’s crust. Over the millennia the Zambezi has rushed through this valley creating islands, channels and sandbanks. The meandering river has carved the volcanic soil forming a number of small ox-bow lakes surrounded by lush vegetation and mahogany and ebony trees. The abundance of water and the luxuriant greenery accounts for the valleys wealth of big game animals!
Here you’ll be staying in your private mobile camp; the area is famous for its walking safaris, something you will be able to enjoy whilst staying here on a full board basis!
Day 7:
Today you will have a full day of game activities at the private camp, including superb walking safaris through the area! Overnight you’ll be staying on a full board basis at the private camp.
Day 8:
Another incredibly scenic flight will take you from Mana Pools to Southern Malawi in the Liwonde National Park. Here you’ll be staying at the Mvuu Lodge, nestled discreetly on the banks of the lagoon just off of the Shire River. The main lounge building is set high above the water, providing long views up-river! The accommodation comprises eight tents, each benefitting from an en-suite bathroom and a private viewing platform over the lagoon.
The facilities of the lodge include a dining room, pub, lounge area, wildlife library and a swimming pool! At the Mvuu Lodge you’ll have a great opportunity to see rhino. Overnight you’ll be staying at the Mvuu Lodge on a full board basis.
Day 9:
Today you’ll have a full day of game activities at the Mvuu Lodge. Here you can also make use of the lodges facilities. Overnight you’ll be staying at the Mvuu Lodge on a full board basis.
Day 10:
After a great flight from the wilderness and wildlife, you’ll be heading to the pristine Vamizi Island in Mozambique, one of the most beautiful locations in the Indian Ocean. Despite its location in one of the wildest places on Earth, amongst the Quirimbas Archipelago in the calm waters off the coast of Northern Mozambique, Vamizi offers the very definition of barefoot luxury in Africa.
On the surface, the island is utterly mellow. The ocean around Vamizi, which are private for the Island guests, are bristling with fish and fantastic diving. Some of the diving here is said to be the best in the world; the same can also be said for the deep sea fishing. As well as this, you can also head out on snorkelling trips, castaway picnics, whale watching, kayak trips on the estuary, sunset dhow cruises, nature walks and community visits. All amongst miles of beaches just waiting to be explored.
Overnight, you’ll be staying on Vamizi Island on a full board basis.
Day 11 & 12:
Today you will have a full day to relax and unwind on Vamizi Island amongst the Quirimbas Archipelago with its expansive beaches, or you can head out and enjoy the activities that Vamizi Island can offer. You’ll be staying overnight on Vamizi Island on a full board basis.
Day 13:
This morning, you leave the beautiful Indian Ocean and head North to the superb wilderness on offer in Tanzania, flying to Ruaha, Tanzania’s largest National Park, situated in the south.
In Ruaha you’ll be staying at the Mwagusi Camp deep in the Tanzanian bush, built from organic natural materials with guests treated to a unique tented safari experience. Each of the tents is comfortably secured under a thatched roof on the sandy banks of the Mwagusi River. Often elephants are found visiting the camp!
Overnight, you’ll be staying at the Mwagusi Camp on a full board basis.
Day 14:
Today you will have a full day of game activities at Mwagusi Camp on the banks of the Mwagusi River. Overnight you’ll be staying at Mwagusi Camp on a full board basis.
Day 15:
Once again a change of scenery as you head from the Ruaha River to the idyllic Island of Zanzibar, and to the private island of Mnemba. This is probably the most beautiful place on the Indian Ocean. From snorkeling, swimming and kayaking, to massages on the beach, to doing nothing at all, Mnemba has something for everyone.
If you have ever harboured the secret wish of finding yourself the sole inhabitant of a beautiful tropical island, but without the effort of having to lift a finger to fend for yourself, this is just the place for you! Day 17:
Your flight today takes you from Zanzibar to Tsavo and then to Campi ya Kanzi in the Chyulu Hills in Kenya, your last stop of your epic air safari! Campi ya Kanzi is a unique boutique community eco-lodge which enjoys an exclusive wilderness of 280,000 acres in front of the famous Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Campi ya Kanzi offers authentic ecotourism and genuine immersion in Maasai culture, while on safari in one of the most iconic landscape of Africa. The Chyulu Hills where the camp is nested, are the Green Hills of Africa of Ernest Hemingway. Game drives, game walks and horse-back riding is available, together with yoga and massages for true African bliss.
Day 18:
After breakfast you’ll enjoy a full day of activities including game drives, game walks and horse-back riding. Overnight you’ll be staying at Camp ya Kanzi on a full board basis.
Day 19:
This morning, you’ll depart Campi ya Kanzi and fly to Nairobi where you’ll be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to connect with your onward international arrangements.
