Boconnoc In Bloom - 19th-25th April 2026
This inspiring Art Retreat takes place at Boconnoc House, one of Cornwall’s most beautiful and atmospheric historic estates. Set within rolling parkland, ancient woodland, and formal gardens, Boconnoc offers a peaceful, elegant setting that feels wonderfully removed from everyday life — the perfect place to focus on creativity.
This retreat offers time, space, and gentle structure to support your artwork, enjoy your surroundings, and allow yourself time to think and create. Days are designed to encourage close observation and experimentation, balanced with moments to wander, sketch outdoors, or simply absorb the environment. Bring sketches or paintings you want to develop or be inspired by new surroundings. Whether honing your drawing skills, learning from scratch or simply content to drink it all in with or without a camera, you're going to be in very capable and creative hands. Your Art Safari tour leaders., Claudia Myatt and Ian Sedge, are both very experienced artists and passionate teachers.
Spring brings fresh energy to the landscape. April light moves softly across the grounds, new growth appears in the woods and gardens, and the estate comes alive with colour, birdsong, and changing skies. From sweeping views and ancient trees to quiet corners, lakes, and grand architectural details, Boconnoc provides a rich variety of subjects for drawing and painting.
With its sense of history, calm atmosphere, and generous landscapes, Boconnoc House is a place that naturally nurtures artistic focus. This April retreat is an opportunity to step away, immerse yourself in art, and let ideas develop in a truly special environment.
Please note that this itinerary is a guideline; your tour leaders may vary the activities to suit weather conditions, or to include any tempting opportunities that we come up during our stay!
