Introduction

Day 1:

Upon your arrival into Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be met upon arrival by a representative who will be holding a name board as you descend the aircraft steps. You’ll then be shown to your private transfer vehicle that will take you to the aircraft terminal where you’ll be shown through fast track immigration and given assistance with baggage collection and customs formalities.

Once you’ve completed the immigration and customs formalities, you’ll be escorted to your waiting driver and vehicle from the Emakoko Lodge that will transfer you to the Emakoko Lodge, with a game drive en route depending on the time that your international flight arrives. The transfer time from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to the Emakoko can be as little as 20 minutes, however you can spend longer if you see any interesting game en route.

Overnight you’ll be staying at the Emakoko Lodge on a full board basis in a luxury cottage

Day 2:

This morning, after your breakfast at the Emakoko Lodge, you’ll be transferred to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, which will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic. On arrival at Nairobi Wilson Airport you’ll connect with your flight to Meru Airstrip within the Meru National Park. On arrival at Meru Airport, you’ll be met by a vehicle and driver from Elsa’s Kopje which will transfer you to Elsa’s Kopje, arriving in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, you’ll be heading out into Meru National Park for game activities in your 4x4 vehicle. Overnight you shall be staying at Elsa’s Kopje on a full board basis in an open plan luxurious cottage!

Day 3:

Today you’ll head out for a full day of game activities within Meru National Park in your open sided 4x4 vehicle. Meru is below 1,000 metres in altitude and is unfenced! Wildlife roams the Kopje. The area is vast, with no other permanent lodges or camps, meaning you’ll have much of this area to yourself and the other guests staying at Elsa’s Kopje.

Day 4:

After breakfast at Elsa’s Kopje, you’ll be transferred to the Meru Airstrip where you’ll be connecting with your scheduled flight to Samburu Airstrip. You’ll arrive into the Samburu Airstrip in the late morning, where you’ll be met by a vehicle and driver from Joy’s Camp. You’ll be driven to Joy’s Camp, arriving in time for lunch. The duration of the transfer will take approximately 1 hour from the airstrip.

In the afternoon at Joy’s Camp, you’ll be heading out for game activities within the Shaba Game Reserve in your open sided 4x4 vehicle. Overnight you’ll be staying in one of Joy’s spacious luxury tents, situated on a wooden deck on a full board basis.

Day 5:

Today you’ll be enjoying a full day of game activities within the Shaba Game Reserve in an open sided 4x4 vehicle. The camp is located on the very site that Joy Adamson released her leopard into the wild! From the camp you can look out onto an oasis with a natural spring, water hole and prolific resident game! Overnight you’ll be staying at Joy’s Camp on a full board basis in a luxurious tent.

Day 6:

This morning, you’ll be departing after breakfast to the Samburu Airstrip, the transfer taking approximately 1 hour. From Samburu Airstrip, you’ll be flying to Keekorok Airstrip in the Maasai Mara! From Keekorok Airstrip, you’ll be met by an open sided Cottars 1920’s Camp 4x4 vehicle and driver, which will then transfer you to Cottars 1920’s Camp! You’ll arrive in time for lunch at Cottars 1920’s Camp, heading out in the afternoon for game activities within Cottars 1920’s Camp private concession!

At Cottars you can enjoy a very authentic safari experience, with the camp adorned by genuine antiques and relics from the camps past! Overnight you’ll be staying at Cottars 1920’s Camp on a full board basis in a large luxurious tent.

Day 7 & 8:

You will be enjoying a full day of game activities at Cottars 1920’s Camp in your open sided 4x4 vehicle with driver. Overnight you’ll be staying at Cottars 1920’s Camp on a full board basis in your luxury tent.

Day 9:

After breakfast at Cottars, you’ll be picked up by your charter helicopter on the lawns of the camp for your flight to Ol Malo Lodge, on the flight you’ll be flying over the Kenya’s Lake District and the Great Rift Valley.

At Ol Malo Lodge, in the afternoon you’ll be heading out for game activities within the Ol Malo Conservancy! Ol Malo is about more than just the game, it immerses you with the local community, the Samburu people. This is not in a cosmetic way, but really in the Samburu’s day to day activities! Overnight you’ll be staying at Ol Malo Lodge on a full board basis in a luxury room

Day 10, 11 & 12:

Whilst at Ol Malo, you can enjoy a full day of activities. This can include:

-Game drives in your open sided 4x4 vehicle either during the day or during the night

-Nature walks

-Horse riding

-Camel riding

-Mountain biking

-Run with a Samburu Moran (warrior)

-Educational experiences with the Samburu tribe and the Ol Malo Trust projects

-A night under the stars in the tree house, or sleeping below the cliffs in the leopard hide with flood lit views of the waterhole

-Swimming in the river, complete with a mud fight if you want to, or just to enjoy the swimming pool perched high on the cliff, boasting breathtaking views!

-Fly camping on the river with camels or horses

-For an additional cost, you can also arrange to have a helicopter flight to the shores of Lake Turkana by helicopter for breakfast! Quite a special experience!

Overnight you’ll be staying at Ol Malo on a full board basis in your luxury room

Day 13:

This morning you’ll depart Ol Malo and be transferred to the Ol Malo Airstrip to connect with your scheduled flight to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. From Nairobi Wilson Airport, you’ll be met by a private driver and vehicle which will transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to connect with your onward international flight arrangements
