Set on the foot of Kilima Kiu Hill, (meaning 'that hill', sometimes 'black hill'), one and a half hours' drive from Nairobi, is an old manor that belonged to Sir Frank Joyce. Back in 1911, Frank Joyce arrived in Kenya and settled in the rugged country side of Malili close to the Kilima Kiu hill. He soon met and married his love, Mary Early, and together they settled and started ranching in this very home we now call the “Kilima Kiu Manor.” The couple shared merry laughter and deep secrets, some of which may be revealed to you during the 'bubbly' breakfasts or 'twisted' sundowners.
