Gateway to Kruger and the Panorama
A mere four hours’ drive from Gauteng, Hazyview is the gateway to the southern part of the Kruger National Park. With Kruger's Phabeni Gate and Numbi Gates only about 15 km from Hazyview, day visits to the KNP are made easy.
Forty kilometers to the west is the spectacular Panorama Escarpment with its waterfalls, forests and panoramic views of God's Window and Blyde River Canyon. Visit the quaint country towns of Sabie and Graskop.
Hazyview is located centrally in the Kruger Lowveld Region of Mpumalanga.

The greater Hazyview area (including the southern Kruger National Park) is home to an estimated 3,000 plant species, half of' South Africa's butterfly species, half of South Africa's bird species, and half of South Africa's mammals.
Agriculture
Hazyview is one of the largest banana and subtropical fruit production areas in the country.
The subtropical climate, coupled with the fertile soils of the Sabie, Mac Mac, Sand and Sabaan river valleys, the absence of frost and the abundance of water, is every farmer's dream come true. Hazyview produces about 20% of the country's bananas. Other agricultural crops include Citrus, Granadilla, Papaw, Avocado Pears, Mangos, Litchis, Macadamia & Pecan Nuts, Ginger, Vegetables, Flowers and Timber.
History
Founded in the early 20th Century by an alcoholic Canadian Boer War veteran, named Perry, who was running away from a trumped-up murder-charge down-country, Hazyview is now a bustling, peaceful market town at the portals of the Kruger National Park.
