For a more leisurely exploration, swim in the crystal-clear turquoise waters that lap gleaming white rock formations, rugged cliffs and sea caves on the many secluded beaches. Plaka, a hilltop town and the de facto capital, is where to find several inviting restaurants, quaint cafes, Greek and European pastries, coffee and sweets.
