There is no doubt that Zambia is one of the most beautiful, friendly, diverse and unspoilt countries on the continent of Africa. Apart from the spectacular Victoria Falls, Zambia is home to more natural water resources than any other country in southern Africa. Several other waterfalls are scattered around the country, including the renowned Zambezi River. Its low population density and extensive network of National Parks ensure Zambia is home to an abundance of wildlife. Large mammals can be found in significant numbers in the vast wilderness areas, from elephants and giraffes to hippos and zebras, to lions, leopards and cheetahs. Zambia's many wildlife parks provide the opportunity to observe Africa in its purest form, while bustling urban areas offer a glimpse into Zambian culture. Here, in the heart of Africa, you can enjoy some of the most memorable safari experiences on earth, including face-to-face encounters with nature's most untamed side.
Central Kafue's natural, unspoiled beauty is distinguished by miombo and savannah woodlands, flat open plains, riverine bush, and statuesque granite outcrops. There is a great deal of wildlife in the area, and the looping roads offer regular wildlife sightings. Kasabushi Bush Camp is located in the heart of the park's central sector. The camp's sightings enchant guests due to the peace, privacy and exclusivity that the accommodation allows. Kafue River flows throughout the park, surrounded by boulders and hard rocks home to animals such as the klipspringer. It's an unspoiled area with so many things to do and see.

The northern part of Kafue is unquestionably the best place to see wildlife in the area. The region is ideally situated for viewing large numbers of red lechwe but is also well known for the big lions, buffalo, elephant, wildebeest and relaxed roan antelope. Fig tree islands, floodplains, and water sources provide excellent birding opportunities with hundreds of species to observe. Northern Kafue is untamed with an abundance of wildlife, birding and fishing. Remote, untouched and unspoiled wilderness awaits you in Kafue, along with some of the best guides and the warmest hospitality you can imagine.
