The enormous Kruger National Park stretches thousands of kilometres from north to south. The southern part is the most accessible and, therefore, very popular. The south region is defined by the shapes of smooth granite koppies, umbrella-like trees, and the prevalence of White Rhino. Bushveld is lush, and permanent water sources are plentiful, making it the most animal-rich area of the park. The Kruger hosts plains of grassland throughout the south, making animals easier to find.
