Karongwe Private Game Reserve

Days 1 - 4

Located in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, the Karongwe Private Game Reserve is known for its pristine landscapes, luxury services, and abundant wildlife, and stretches across 9000 hectares. This magnificent wildlife sanctuary lies between four different rivers - the ideal riverine habitats for a diversity of flora, fauna, and prolific birdlife. The primary drawcard for many visitors is the chance to spot the Big Five (elephant, lion, leopard, African buffalo, and rhinoceros), and this is one of the few places where the chances of seeing the elusive leopards are relatively high. It also serves as a convenient base from which to explore the world-renowned Kruger National Park, just 45 minutes away. Visitors can look forward to day and night game drives, guided walking safaris, a Bushman skills course, and much more.

Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

Days 4 - 8

Adjacent to the Kruger National Park, the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve is a private premier game viewing destination in its own right.  It was the first ever private nature reserve established in South Africa.

The landscape features 65 000 hectares of savannah-covered land interspersed with watering holes, dry river beds, lowveld woodlands, and the perennial Sabi and Sand Rivers. This spectacular reserve offers exceptional game viewing opportunities with frequent sightings of the renowned Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhinoceros and elephant) as well as cheetah, zebra, giraffe, and a variety of antelope.

Visitors can experience excellent wildlife viewing with a professional ranger in an open vehicle or on a guided bush walk when enjoying a stay in some of South Africa’s most luxurious safari lodges.  The days begin at sunrise with the first game activity and end with a delicious dinner under the stars.  (ITT)
