Tanzania is a country full of diversity in landscape, culture, nature and its people. The Chem Chem concession lies in the renowned migration corridor between the famed Lake Manyara and Tarangire National Parks, covering over 20 000 hectares. Situated at the heart of Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania, the Central Serengeti is the park's most visited and wildlife-rich region, centred around the Seronera Valley. Characterised by vast open plains, scattered acacia trees, distinctive granite kopjes favoured by lions and cheetahs, and permanent water sources, it offers exceptional year-round game viewing and is renowned for its resident leopards, often seen resting in the branches of riverside trees. Visitors can enjoy rewarding game drives in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and large herds of plains game, while the Seronera River attracts an abundance of birdlife and other animals throughout the year. Stretching west from the central plains of Serengeti National Park towards Lake Victoria, the Serengeti Western Corridor is a remote wildlife region renowned for its riverine forests, open grasslands and the winding Grumeti River. This diverse landscape is best known for the annual Great Migration, when vast herds of wildebeest and zebras brave crocodile-filled river crossings, typically between May and July, though wildlife viewing is rewarding year-round. Visitors can enjoy exceptional game drives in search of elephants, lions, leopards, giraffes and large buffalo herds, while the Grumeti's riverine forests are home to black-and-white colobus monkeys and an impressive diversity of birdlife. With fewer visitors than the central Serengeti, the Western Corridor offers a quieter safari experience in one of Tanzania's most iconic wilderness areas.
