Réunion

Réunion Island rises from the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar, combining dramatic volcanic landscapes with a rich blend of French, African, Indian and Creole influences. Its atmosphere is adventurous yet laid-back, shaped by towering peaks, lush cirques and a coastline where black-sand beaches meet turquoise water. Hiking is the island’s signature experience, with trails winding through misty forests, deep valleys and the otherworldly terrain surrounding Piton de la Fournaise, one of the world’s most active volcanoes. Colourful markets, fragrant Creole cuisine and vibrant local traditions add cultural depth to outdoor pursuits. The scent of tropical vegetation, the sound of cascading waterfalls and sweeping mountain vistas create unforgettable moments. Réunion is not a typical beach escape; its greatest rewards come through exploration and discovery.

La Saline-Les-Bains

Dagen 2 - 5

Set on the southern end of the magnificent L’Ermitage Lagoon, on the western coastline of the island of Reunion, Saline-Les-Bains is an attractive little village and a bustling tourism centre. The main attraction is undoubtedly the main Trou d’Eau beach, which boasts a wide stretch of pristine white sand and offers excellent snorkelling opportunities in its clear and shallow waters.

Mauritius

Located off the eastern coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean, the idyllic island of Mauritius is a remarkably romantic holiday destination. While it's renowned for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, gorgeous powder-white sand beaches, and a wonderful tropical climate, the island offers much more. Those who venture inland will discover lush, jungle-clad mountains, glistening blue lagoons, impressive rivers and waterfalls, extinct volcanic craters, charming little ramshackle towns and villages, and wonderfully friendly locals. Must-see attractions include the bustling capital of Port Louis with its lively local markets; the remarkable 85 metre-high Chamarel Waterfall; and Eureka, a historic plantation mansion turned museum offering visitors a glimpse into the island's colonial past.

Grand Gaube

Dagen 5 - 9
