Eyre Peninsula

Days 4 - 7

The Eyre Peninsula is a coastal region of South Australia that offers a wealth of sights and activities within a relatively compact and accessible area. The Lincoln Highway - which runs from Port Augusta (in the east) to Port Lincoln (in the south) – is a popular driving route that connects most of the Eyre Peninsula’s best sights, which include charming coastal towns, outstanding national parks and the expansive, treeless Nullarbor Plain. Don’t miss Port Lincoln, Australia’s seafood capital; the picturesque retreat of Coffin Bay and its national park; and the outstanding rock formations and salt lakes of the Gawler Ranges National Park. At the Head of Bight, between May and October you can spot Southern Right Whales (who use this area as a breeding-ground), and Baird Bay is known for its sea lions and dolphins.
